For the first 2-3 days:
- Store your loaf in a closed paper bag on the kitchen counter to keep its magic alive.
Beyond that:
- Freeze it - Our bread freezes perfectly, preserving its spellbinding flavor.
- Pre-slice before freezing for convenience, ensuring each slice is ready for a magical moment.
- Ideally, freeze it in a plastic zip-loc bag to maintain its freshness.
- Toast a slice straight from the freezer for that fresh-baked flavor, as if conjured by a wizard.
Never refrigerate.
- Sourdough bread and the fridge are not friends. It'll dry out and lose its magic, leaving you with a loaf devoid of enchantment.
No, our sourdough is crafted with wheat, which contains gluten. However, our long fermentation process works like a charm, breaking down much of the gluten and making it easier to digest for many who are sensitive to regular bread.
Moreover, many gluten sensitivities arise from the additives and preservatives found in processed bread—ingredients we never use in our magical loaves.
If you have celiac disease or a severe gluten allergy, our bread, unfortunately, isn't suitable for you. We wouldn't want any magical mishaps!
